Vitamin Enthusiasm

One of my yoga teachers has been hammering on enthusiasm since I know her, but only recently did I feel that I understand the full spectrum of what impact being enthusiastic can have on your life. Especially in moments of struggle or laziness. You will struggle, there's no doubt about that, but struggling will feel easier by inviting enthusiasm. You certainly will erase laziness. It is impossible to be lazy and enthusiastic about something at the same time. If laziness keeps creeping back in it might be worth changing what you are doing in the first place. Not even enthusiasm can help the struggle of living a life you are not meant to live. My teacher describes it as one of the vitamins you’ll need to take daily. Taking a ration of enthusiasm brings you into motion, moving towards something with purpose. Just the word itself seems to hold high energy. When I discovered that it comes out of the Greek language meaning “being inspired or possessed by God”, it didn't surprise me.

Say this word out loud!
Enthusiasm.
Let it echo into the depth of yourself.
What does enthusiasm feel like? What comes to mind? What do you feel like doing?
Let the idea of enthusiasm vibrate through your body and outwards through your actions.
