Are you a good thinker?

What is good thinking and what is bad thinking? How easy is it to think or how hard can it be? Why do we always jump to conclusions, assumptions or labels and why is it so hard for us to understand and listen to what we don't believe? Critical thinking is a skill rarely learned in modern society. It is rarely thought of and validated anymore. We rarely take time for the process of thinking anymore. Time of activities almost certainly equals time on our phones.
In the book ‘the road less travelled and beyond’, I came across the idea that there should be a Statue of responsibility built on the West Coast of America to balance out the Statue of Liberty on the East Coast. Freedom and liberty can only come if their individual acts with responsibility. Responsibility for her or his own action and what impact they have on others. Individual freedom is preached by so many. Encouraged by so many, forget that we wouldn't be anything without the other. Looking at humanity as an animal you have to acknowledge that we wouldn't be anything without others. Communication and the ability to cooperate in large numbers set us homo sapiens apart from other sapiens and animals. There is a systematic failure to create a community feeling in nations and on a global scale. The individual is strengthened and the community weakend.
I didn't say we should not live in a world with full control over our freedom. If I would, I would be an absolute idiot! Everyone should have ultimate freedom over their body and mind. But as soon as your action impacts another life you shouldn't think only of your own. That would be selfish, and I think we can agree on that this is quite a simple way of putting it. Yet, we all find ourselves in situations of selfish actions. Aware or not.
When was the last time you acted selfish?
It creates an extreme mental error inside your head to hear what you don't want to hear. Doesn't it?

Our perception can change in an instant.
It isn't about changing your perception to a “right way” and to forget about “wrong way”.
It's about bringing up enough courage, strength and honesty to see something for what it is and less as what you want it to be.
It's extremely hard to not make an assumption or label something within an instant and to see it from a bird view.

We rarely try to understand why people do what they do. How they got to that point.
If we replace judgement with listening and emphasis, we can change more than we THINK  is possible...
