The Misunderstood Emotion

Anger often gets a bad reputation. It is most often seen as an undesirable emotion, one we should suppress or eliminate. When not handled well, anger can turn into resentment, poisoning the relationship with ourselves, and how we relate to the world around us. However, it's important to recognize that anger has also less frequently disguised upsides.

Anger is a very direct energy, a force that moves forward and propels us out of situations where we might otherwise remain stuck. It's a masculine energy that moves in a straight line, often providing the clarity and determination we need to create change. While it can destroy, it can also create clarity and closure.

When we find a way to use our anger constructively, it can serve as a powerful motivator, driving us to set boundaries, and stand up for ourselves. Instead of viewing anger solely as a negative force, we can learn to see it as a tool for transformation. Channeling it positively to help us out of stagnation and into action, clarity, and the calm after the storm.
