Only New Beginnings
“Nothing ever really ends.”, I heard someone say around me last week.
A sentence I agree with on a subtle level and disagree with at the same time to make sense of the world. Everything in this reality of experience goes through the circle of creation, expansion, and decay. Everything is born, lives, and dies. There seems to be a beginning, a middle, and an end, and on the surface level that might be true, but not if we begin to go into the subtleness of existence. Where was the chair you might be sitting on before it was created? Where will it be after it isn’t a chair any more? Just because the conscious experience of the chair is over doesn’t mean he doesn’t exist anymore. Because nothing ever ends, only our conscious experience of the frame we have for it does. So if there are no endings, does that mean that there are no beginnings as well? You could say yes, life and the universe in itself are just continuing to exist. But to not sink into Nihilism, the art of nothingness, too much and for the sake of personal growth and excitement you could say everything only ever transforms and there are only new beginnings. You get to begin life anew right now, turn it 180 degrees around, and make a new choice. The previous part of your life lives on as a memory or lesson. Nothing ends, even if a loved one dies the person transforms into memories and in some form lives on even tho we cannot touch them anymore. Simplistically it’s like letting a ball bounce to the ground. It will never come back up to the same height and layer of reality as before, but the energy wasn’t lost it only transformed into the subtleness of kinetic energy, heat. Nothing ends, life seems to be a continuum of up and down in the frame of labels we have for it. “We live life as a never-ending, always beginning experience but are only able to convey it as memories.” And memories can’t be lost or forgotten, they are only beginning to drift off into the subtleness of the universe.
