I love my job, but I’ll be honest. Sometimes I have days where I really don't feel like teaching yoga. But it's not about me as soon as I step into the shala. I want and need to give my students an experience that is consistent and for that, I need my cup to be filled sufficiently and my mind to be clear. As long as I have both of these resources I see it as my responsibility to teach. It shows that even the things we love are harder on some days than others. Regardless of the job we choose, there will be tough days. We often hear the advice, "Do what you love and you'll never have to work a day in your life." While there's truth to that, relying solely on our feelings can limit our progress. Imagine we would only act based on how we feel. We would not get very far. Sometimes we must act our way into feeling. I say it again. Instead of waiting to take action when you feel like it, act your way into feeling. It changes everything…
